Mental Notes on the Last Day of March

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day! I woke up bright and early this morning to pick up Hilary and head over to Orem Junior High to do some observation. I seriously love that school, and surprisingly really want to teach middle school/junior high now more than I want to teach high school. Who'd a thunk?

Anyway, so I'm trying to get motivated enough to finish my electronic session for multicultural education. But it's about policies and programs, which is quite possibly the most confusing thing to ever exist on the earth, so you can't really blame me for wanting to sort out my mind first.

Also, I'm very excited because I'm going to go home tomorrow and take pictures! Yay! I'm going to try my hand at senior pictures and my unfortunate brother is going to be my guinea pig. Tatiana also wants to tag along so I can take her picture too. So I guess if anyone else wants to join, be my guest! haha. But I'll post some of those later...if they actually turn out okay...

There was one more thing I wanted to mention, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was...boo. Somehow I feel like it was the reason for this post in the first place. Hmmm...

Oh, yes! Wow, it's not as momentous as I'd thought. I just watched the episode of The Office where Michael proposes to Holly and Oh. My. Gosh. Adorable? Absolutely! That was so amazing I can't even get over it. Also, the look on everyone's faces when they realize that Michael is leaving. Priceless. Amateurs don't write this stuff, people. I love The Office and I love Michael Scott. So, inevitably I am heartbroken at this moment in time. Haha.

Well, I'd better finish my assignment on education policies for ELL students! Have a lovely, beautiful, sunny day.

hehe...

So if you haven't already figured it out, I stopped doing the photo blog challenge. I could have kept going but I realized that no one was probably even looking at them and it was taking forever to find good pictures, not to mention I was beginning to lose the feel of the challenge. They were either too easy or stretched to cover the topic. Anyway, I'm out on that one. Maybe I'll do a different challenge over the summer, but it will most likely be me posting my photography because I plan to throw myself into that one all summer. I can't wait! But as for now, yeah, no more photo challenge pictures. But have a lovely day!

I just woke up this morning to drive my roommate to school, because she's on crutches due to a broken toe. :( So now I should read the chapter in my adolescent development book about social development, but I think you might be able to understand when I say that I'm not dying to crack that book open. It's a Monday for sure.

Day (10)

One-tenth of the way there! Yayyy!

I really like today's post...my favorite food! It's very hard to decide, but I had to go with my favorite meal at the moment: Zupa's Honey Bacon Club, New England Clam Chowder and a chocolate-covered strawberry. Oh. My. Gosh. I want to go there right this second.

I also really enjoy egg rolls and smoothies. Not necessarily together.

Day (9)

Eck. I do not like the idea of posting a picture of my bedroom in its current state...but I'll do it anyway.

I'll admit I tidied up a little... :) (but just a little, I promise!)

Day (8)

A picture of a talent of mine, huh? Okay, well. I LOVE music, if you haven't already figured that one out. So, this is one of the weirdest senior pictures I had taken. Mostly just because my face looks so intense and awkward, but I really like that it's a picture of me and my lovely instrument!

Day (7)

AHHH! So I knew this was bound to happen eventually. I forgot to post a picture for yesterday. But let's just pretend that didn't happen.

This is a picture of the best moment of my life...

Arguably the best moment of my life would either be my baptism or my high school graduation, but for picture purposes, this one takes it. It was at least one of the coolest moments...

Day (6)

Why is it so hard for me to choose a picture of something I love? I love so many things! That's probably why it's so difficult.

Well, I chose my guitar! I definitely love my guitar. Music is one of the biggest parts of my life.

Also, my poster in the background shows another something that I love. New York. When I wear my I ♥ NY shirt, I really mean it!

Traveling, in general, is something I love.

In case you haven't noticed I love too many things to mention, but sometimes things just stick out more. I'll quote myself from a tweet I wrote a few days ago...

"I love rain. I love YouTube. I love Matt LeBlanc. I love my guitar. I love British accents. I'm in a very loving mood today..." and basically I always am. :D

Day (5)

I picked my top 3 favorite quotes for today's photo challenge.

Today's blog challenge is a picture of my favorite quote(s) in my handwriting. So this is actually my handwriting that I made into a font so I can use it on my computer. If you're curious, it's one of the best investments I've ever made! Cost $9 or something and journal writing became infinitely easier. Haha.

I actually took the background picture myself too. Also, if you're having trouble reading the quotes click the picture to enlarge it and it will be much better.

Enjoy these quotes. I do.

Day (4)

I'm actually sort of going to break the rules right now.

Today is supposed to be a picture of me 10 years ago, but I was just talking to my mom and she has them all boxed. So, that one will have to wait for about a week.

I'll just move on to the next one, which is a picture of a place that makes me happy.

I've posted this one before, so you might know that this is my most favorite thinking place in the world and the most picturesque backdrop I could ever imagine. When I'm there I sometimes cannot even believe it's real.

Also just to fill the void of a missing oldies picture of myself, I'll give you a little sample. This was actually more than 10 years ago. More like 15. My bestie, Tatiana, just found this tonight. Haha.

Aren't we so cute??? (All together now...Awwww!)

I chose this picture over the other one she found when we were 12. That was definitely an awkward stage for us both. This is much better.

Day (3)

So today's photo blog is supposed to be a picture of my favorite book...

But how on earth could I just choose one?

Day (2)

So today is not really today, but tomorrow...but I still am going to count it as day 2. Follow?

This is supposed to be a picture of something that makes me happy.

Just FYI, this was a really hard decision because LOTS of things make me happy. :)

But this picture won. I took it the day I got home from Disneyland, Thanksgiving 2009.

You're never too old for stuffed animals...especially ones named Winnie the Pooh.

Kenny Loggins said so.

(100) Days of Photos

So...randomly I saw that a few of my Facebook friends had started this 100-day photo challenge and I didn't waste any time hopping on that train. I think that is a fantastically creative and awesome endeavor! I'm so excited. Anyway, this is my official announcement that I will (hopefully) be posting a picture every day for the next 100 days! Today is March 3...so that makes June 11 the last day. :D Hurray for photos and let's get this party started!
Love, Megan Kate
